@#$;"& Alternator Whine

This is driving me insane and I need help.

JL 12tw3
Alpine 500w amp
Rockford Fosgate 250w 2ch amp
Polk db components in front amped
Rockford Fosgate 2 ways in back not amped
4ga power wire for Alpine amp ran down passenger side
8ga power wire for Fosgate amp ran down passenger side
V10 RCA's ran down drivers side
Remote power wire ran down drivers side
Speaker wires ran down center console
2x 4ga ground wire ran through trunk floor and secured to frame for amp grounds grounded at the same spot

The ONLY thing I can think of is the remote power wire screwing with it but I wouldn't think something with such little current could cause anything. Can y'all see anything that would cause this? I've installed systems for 15yrs and never had a car fight me like this. I've tried changing ground locations, doing them separate and together, different lengths, re-running wires, changed RCA's. I'm almost to the point of tearing out every wire and wrapping them in aluminum foil individually to isolate everything from themselves.

The car has a 102k miles on it and the alternator is original and I'm uncertain on the battery age.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

alternator whine is usually caused by a ground loop or power being ran next to a ground

i would jump/bypass the remote turn and rca's.... see if either eliminate the issue

Only place power and grounds are close to each other is where they plug into the amp. Otherwise they go in opposite directions. I'll try bypassing the remote wire and see what happens.

did you scrape the paint under the grounds?

if it were me, i would run a 0 gauge to distribution block to around the amps and go 4 or 8 gauge to each amp..... but that is me

Yea down to bare metal.

hmmmm, good quality rca's? whine is a bish to track down. i have it in my corvette and it is all stock. i did read that sometimes plug wires (in my car) can cause it

Yes. Spec v10's. Recommend by a few on this site. I've never had a run in like this one with noise. Usually I can solve it pretty quickly but this one has been a bear.

How do you have whine in a stock car? That would just piss me off.

hell if i know... and i hear it, but that 7 liter v8 growl drowns it out.
