Default Bose Radio buttons do not work

the radio turns on. I can switch to CD mode but CDs don't play (they never did) however i can't switch to FM, change the base/treble/fade. i can only turn it onto AM radio and adjust the volume.

is it toast?

Your BOSE headunit is likely toast. Aftermarket is likely the best compromise between cost and performance, but you'll need to replace speakers and the amp at the same time...

You can drive to western Mass and have mine for free... It doesn't even make a good paper weight.

Im on the Connecticut Massachusetts line right by six flags New England... Im pretty sure my CD player doesn't play CD's they just skipped. For like $100 you can get a new cd playet with blue tooth from crutchfield... I would suggest that over anything factory Bose.

If you decide you MUST keep your factory stereo (for whatever reason), you can send it to United Radio in NY and they'll fix it for $200 shipped (at least the last time I checked). They guarantee their work and do a good job. They get a lot of work from garages and dealerships across the country. Their contact information is at:

I know this is an old thread but if you haven't fixed the issue I have the original Bose head unit and it works perfectly I could give you for free. I'm in Los Angeles you pay for shipping and I'll send it to you. Probably $5-10 With USPS priority.
