Stock bose no nav bad reception

Stock bose no nav bad reception
I have a 04 350z roadster with bose 6 cd with no nave. I get reception but not all the stations are crisp and clear. I know there is a antenna amplifier but I dont know where its located or how I would test it. Any one have any advice on how to trouble shoot it. Thanks in advance
