Default 350z steering wheel controls.

Evening guys. I have a (probably dumb) question. I have an 05 350z vert with only cruise control. Is it possible to install the sterio controls to my wheel? I haven't opened it up to see and haven't seen anything on it so I got curious. Not sure if these cars came pressured for the pigtail to just plug in or not or if I could use another wheel from a newer model.

No dumb questions, but a simple search would have yielded an answer. You'd need a new steering wheel and different harness to allow some aftermarket headunits to function. If it's the OEM unit, it wasn't pre-wired for either volume or station controls.

So I know I would need the adapter for the new HU to communicate but wasn't sure if the pigtail for the oem volume controls would plug and play.

I have an 05 roadster that originally came with cruise buttons but no radio buttons. I installed a factory Nismo steering wheel from the 07-08 350z Nismo (love the red stitching) that has the radio controls. I also installed the later model Bose factory HU. I wish there was information to attach the radio to the radio controls.

Relatively easy if you know how to read diagram and do the wiring.
