Sony XAV-AX1000 Question
So I've been looking at this stereo and I ordered a dash trim piece and now I just need to order the adapters and stereo itself. So I have a 2006 Grand Touring. I have already given up on keeping steering wheel audio controls. Though I'm not sure what adapters I need. I've peeked around the forums and I can't really find a clear answer as I haven't seen a lot of people put this stereo in to their 350s.
For what I know I for sure need this adapter: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120707...g-Harness.html
Though the site says I need to get this part as well: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SLC...Converter.html
I've seen a video of someone installing a stereo similar to this one but I was wondering if I need both since I have the Bose system.
Sorry if this question has been asked to death but I couldn't find anything and I'm really lost when it comes to wiring.

Carefully re-read the specs on that radio as the answers are all there.
You do not need the Scosch unit and cannot understand why Crutchfield is suggesting it. Trying to solve a low grade mistake? Any good HU has pre-amp out (and in this case a simple look at the specs will show it has 5 channel RCA outs, 4 mains and sub presumably) and any good amp is going to have pre-amp in (NOT cheap, speaker level garbage amps.... you know, the ones that advertise 10,000 WATTS!)
Guessing they might be suggesting it to interface with the Bose amp. But... the interesting thing is that Crutchfield does sell the tried and true ROEM Bose adapter, linked above.
And why would you have to give up the steering wheel audio controls? The Sony just needs the adapter.
