Airbag still deploy after resistor bypass?
Hello.
I want to swap the seats from OEM to after market ones.
So I searched, if remove the OEM seats, airbag indicator in dash will be blink, so it needs some 2 Ohm resistor mods. I got that.
Q1. After so called 'bypass' mod, still airbag deploys when it needed? or actually 'bypass = skip' the deploying?
Q2. If airbag still works after the mod, it also still check exists the passenger properly?
(Actually I don't even know 350z originally check how or not there is occupancy)
Thank you in advance.

malheur,
You really haven't bypassed anything. The resistors simply take the place of the seat airbags so the control unit sees them when doing its checks. All other parts of the system will work normally.
