nav door doesn't work
 

OK, so I'm looking for a shortcut tonight in an area I'm not completely knowledgeable about and my nav door wouldn't open. Solutions????

Is it electric or manual. If manual, you have to help it along (after pressing the button).

I have the motorized one and it's been acting up since last week. When I turn the key, it opens half way and then closes again. I have to give it a push to get it open. It's almost like something is stuck in the mechanism.

I'm leaving it as is. IMO, it's not worth bringing it to the dealer and have them f*** up (oops! I meant dissasemble) the center console to replace the mechanism.

It's just one more step in the morning. Anyways you still have to click OK on the intro screen to get the NAV going.

Yes of course it's electric! All navigation doors are. The stupid thing gets stuck and will open if I press the button and pull it open at the same time. To me this is unacceptable and it is going to dealer on Weds. I've heard Nissan replaces the nav unit at times when this occurs from other people. We shall see.
