how can i get my dvd's to play while i drive?
I have an AVIC-N1 and i just wanted to know if anyone would be able to tell me how i could go about getting my dvd's to play while i drive. I'm going on a roadtrip with the girlfriend and she wants to watch some movies on the ride. Is there a chord i have to disconnect from the ebrake? Do i have to reconnect it somewhere?

I believe you have to ground the sensor wire.

It is against the law!! That is right, my clarion has a wire that should go to the hand brake to ground, so you can only watch it while parked. Bull****, find that wire and ground it somewhere.

HAHAHA! Thats great! As i shall
|
Yep, all you gotta do is hook up the parking break wire to a ground :)

another way that usually works is just to raise your hand brake up one click (just so the dash light goes on) and it will think your brake is on and let it play without actually engaging the brake far enough to do anything

Actually i had tried that before and it seems to work when riding around town, however, the highway is another story. Had it on for a min and i smelled burning brakes. Wasn't too nice.
