Stealth Install: Avic-z110bt, Alpine, Phoenix Gold
5 Attachment(s)
i just finished my install tonight at 4am. it took me about 20 hours or so. my goal for this build was to have everything hidden in the gloveboxes behind the seats... completely stealth.
audio components: Pioneer Avic-z100bt Alpine MRP-F250 Alpine MRP-M450 Phoenix Gold Ti 6 Elite Phoenix Gold 10" RSDC Wicked CAS Glovebox Box Custom Fiberglass Door Pods the headunit mounting brackets for the avic-z110bt must be modified for it to open and close properly. it's too far in and i had to enlarge the holes in the brackets to push it further out. i am going to bridge the Alpine MRP-F250 to send 100w rms x2 to the phoenix gold components. the RSDC sub is wired to a 2ohm load allowing the Alpine MRP-M450 to output about 400w rms x1. i havent wired up the door pods yet but i'll post pics once i get them in. |
Nice work and nice equipment. How is the overall sound?

also forgot to mention, i bought the msn direct tuner for the avic-z110bt. that unit offers live traffic updates, as well as movie times, stock updates, and a slew of other feeds. i used to have the avic-d3 you're using and the z110bt is a huge upgrade. the larger screen and bluetooth functionality are awesome. |
Could you show pics of the hidden sub please?

Thank you. Do the plastic pieces fit over it to make it completely disappear? Or will you always have the painted fiberglass out in the open?

i've had time to do some listening and and tuning this weekend. i'm very happy with the results. it sounds a lot better than the bose sub and i like having the ability to control the sub from the audio settings on the z110bt. |
did you install any sound deadening? if so, where? thx
