R350zz33's install
I've owned my z since it was new ive had it 3 years. ive planned on doing car audio last but im forced to skip over a few things and start it now since my door speakers are starting to go ;).
my overall goal is to get the best bump for my buck and show were to get these items at there lowest price. This will take time to gather everything and wait for the right deals. my secondary goal is to have as much stuff to be able to be removed at quick as possible for track days. and whatever cant be removed get the weight of it. I am starting this thread now to help push me to get this done, but it will still take time. 1st objective is to get all my power wire and speaker wire ran and rca's in place. this way i can pretty much plug and play when the speakers and subs and head unit come in. on to the parts list. -kenwood dnx-5160 includes dash kit and harness $350 from a member -Zenclosures dual 10" under strut box $105 new on sale -2 alpine type r 10" dvc 4ohm 1 of 2 $100 -6.5" JL c5 $265 from the marketplace came with new sails and speakers mounted in adaptors - a mono block amp - boss audio 2 channel amp 75w rms just what i needed $60 - amp power wire 0 gauge $50 -rca 2 SOUND QUEST SETS ABOUT $6 -other -Street wires 14awg speaker wire 50feet $20 distro blocks extra fuse's and wires $35 i will try and takes lots of pictures and take video to help show others how to put a system in there Z. http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_1250.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_1251.jpg i took the hood and wiper cowl off took 2 mins and gave me so much more room. i knew the hood was light but damn. also i removed the sub bracket that will be for sale. the guide wire i used worked great. i routed the power wire from the box behind the driver under the pass box out the hole on the side ran it along the side of the car there was a housing for wires there i opened that up and shoved the power wire in there then i pulled it through the grommet. |
