Looks like it'll work for what I am wanting to do.
My idea to fully disable the VDC by lifting the ground wire on the yaw control unit and use the "extra" VDC switch for this. Mount the switch where the extra blank is by the window switches.

You should detail how you do this. I have already acquired a spare VDC switch but will not get around to attempting this for a few months still as my car is in storage. I don’t like doing anything that involves wiring so a DIY guide would be nice to follow. I found a few DIYs using basic toggle switches on the forum.

For sure. But it'll be a bit for me to. I live in North/West PA. I won't have access to the Z until the snow starts melting off.
I'm not 100% sure why it hasn't been done this way, so I am not sure if it'll work yet. I guess I'll find out for everyone else. LOL

This is correct. All you need to do is momentarily interrupt the ground/power and it will fault the yaw sensor. Completely disabling all traction / VDC systems, which will only reset when you power cycle the vehicle.

Not to be too picky, but is that based on personal experience or just something you read?

Well, I couldn't find a VDC button with the plug and wires but I did find a heated seat button with the plug. So, I'll be using this switch instead.
When it warms up a bit I'll put together my DIY for this mod. I really think just pulling the ground on the yaw control box will be the easiest way to do it.
