Default Beer Question

Just wondering......Do Australians really drink Fosters beer or is that just a marketing pitch that American sales people use to promote the American sales of Foster beer?

No, not many Aussies drink Fosters.
Probably the most popolar beer in Australia is Victoria Bitter aka VB - a horrible beer in my opinion.
My favourite beer is James Boags - local beer brewed in Tasmania.

Many years ago, when I was visiting Perth, Swan Gold was the most popular
beer there. I can't remember seeing Foster's in Perth.

In germany St. Pauli Girl is Crap
Here its "premium"
And thier are SOOOO many EXCELLENT microbrews its ridiclious.
Every town has its own brewery almost.

In England Newcastle is ok, my engligh friends tell me thier is much better stuff Dont ask me to name it.
Here newcastle is good <- my fav.

In mexico Corona is crap, Tecate is like budweiser EVERYWHERE, and Pacifico / Dos Equis is the better beers.

my 2 cents

Its not readily available in bars in Austalia - my buddy lived in Surfers Paradise for 2 years and said it was hit or miss (but nobody seemed to drink it anyway).

Actually the Fosters available in the US comes from Canada, read the label.
But I'll drink it, I drink whatever is on sale

Default My 1st

This is my first post at this forum. Never having owned a Z , before buying one I decided to find out what I could beforehand. I am delighted to be able to post about something I know a little about -- beer. I agree, Carona is just mexican p--water. It is terrible. In Mexico I prefer DosXX or Bohemia(dark). I spend most of my time in Guatemala. There I drink Moza, the only dark beer they have. In Guatemala they have half a dozen brands, but they all come from the same brewery. Gallo is the "national" beer. It's ok, but it gives me gas if you know what I mean. I lived in Bamberg, Germany, for a time. At the time Bamberg had the reputation in Germany of having more breweries than churches. I can't speak for everybody else in Texas, but when I'm home I drink Shiner Bock(a dark beer). I don't know anybody that drinks Miller, in Texas or anywhere else, outside of Milwaukee. I do know some people up there that drink it, but they are sort of strange anyway.
