Gun Laws
Hey all fellow Aussies. I might be moving back to AU soon. Just curious about current gun laws. When i left it was illegal to own pump action shotguns..have the laws become more strict? Can you own handguns?

Hmm, simple answer is... 98% no, unless you can get a license which you will have to prove that you need it for rural purposes, that is if you have a farm and need to keep some rabbits/pests out or you need it for professional gaming (target shooting). But just for your own protection is not a reason to own any firearms in any form whatsoever.
Hell even BB guns are illegal... put it that way.
