Spacers and Drift 'R's
350zlover.... tried to pm you, you might have missed it, or are away.
Have you still got the spacers you spoke of? ROH Drift 'R' s are now on. 18X8 and 18X9" + Yokohamas (245 and 260X 40) Reversed the Drift R centre piece and added Nissan emblem on outside!...Tones down...less GTR ish. Happy, but need a little more positive offset. Steve |
steve any picture? :)
I have bought 350zlover's spacer 2 pair of 15mm, but he might still have the 25mm spacers ;) |
sorry Steve,
those 25mm spacers are sold to frosty already! cheers, richie |
Steve - I've always liked the Drift R wheels since I first saw them advertised in car mags and wondered what they would look like on the Z. Do you have a digital camera to post pick of the new setup?

give Geoff Nicholls a call: (03)98184555.
Tell him that Richard gives you the number and I am sure he will look after ya! I would say 15mm spacers are the best for your choice, also that will be the minimum size that you can get for the "legal type" spacers! Forgot to mention, make sure that you have "holes/rooms" for those nuts on the 15mms behind your wheels.. but if you use 25mm ones which I doubt will be too much for your wheels, you don't need to worry about that. cheers, richie |

Is it their width that concerns the room? Steve |

Richie - what is the drama with mounting the 15mm spacers for the front wheels?
The 25s went onto the rears like a dream. Will I need to get work done to anything that may be irreversable? Isn't it just a bolt-on like the rear? Was just about to order from Nissan Performance as per 4wsboy's reccomendation. BTW, thanks 4wsboy for the info. I'm just awaiting final confirmation on price and inclusion or otherwise of the studs. FROZTY |
BTW' the 25s for the rear are the ABSOLUTE maximum to fit - looks bloody fat - but would probably go for 20mm if doing it again.
FROZTY |
Thanks for the thanks, but it wasn't me who gave the site for the spacers! Froszty. I think it was ottoman
Does it matter if the wheels actually go out past the inside of the lip? I doubt our wheels ever would touch vertically? Steve |
talk about good timing.
im thinking of getting spacers for my stock wheels. whats the max that can fit on front and rear? i think someone mentioned 25mm is the max on the rear, but whats the max on the fronts? also, does anyone have any pictures? thanks. |
I'm lost. Why put the Drift R's and spacers? You can purchase the drift r's in nearly any offset you want . They will make you a set.
Here is a link to a offset calculator. You will notice that the standard +30 offset on a 8" wide rim has the same inside clearance as +19 offset on 9". This will also mean that the outside wheel will be 24mm further out. Just like the TE37's. So in a nut shell if can make sure your wheel extends outwards a maximum of 25mm it will not scrub. PS: I have 15/25mm spacers on the front/rear stock wheels and lowerd about 25-30mm and it does not rub. It is close to the guard 3-4mm. LINK Hope this helps |

FROZTY There will be no drama at all mounting 15mms at the front, they work like those 25mms you have. but the problem is that the studs that you use to mount the spacers will be sticking out. That's why make sure that (if you have the original 18" wheels or Ray's, no problem at all) the wheels that you are mounting on have some holes for those studs, that's all. 20mms will be great too, am thinking is it possible for you to machine those 25mm down to 20mm? never had that though before anyway... but it might be possible?! cheers, richie |
Will be using standard 18" wheels - will it just be a bolt-on exercise like the rears?
I'm not sure what the probs that you mention are. Thanks heaps, FROZTY ' |
spacers & stock 18s pics
Hey frosty, couple of questions for you
Im planning of getting my rims powercoated in gunmetal and I was looking to get the spacers 25mm for the rear and 15 for the front and was wondering if you had the same setup and if you had any pics from the side to see the wheel well and tire gap with the spacers. Is the installation simple bolt on? and do you have the Eibach spring pro kit on? thanks for your reply Jose Originally posted by frosty Will be using standard 18" wheels - will it just be a bolt-on exercise like the rears?
