I was thinking of a Blue Mountains run on Aug 21 and then we can do that long Windsor run on the 4th Sept.
How are people with these two cruises?

Anyone still interested in the mountains if it isn't raining (21 aug)?
Also you guys in NewCastle, will you come to a Windsor-Singleton run? I was thinking of including you guys when I thought of that road. I believe there is only 1 town between the whole distance...anyone done that run before?

Almost anytime for me ok - I'm the boss at my place.
Would like to see a time when everyone's going to go but!
And another 2-bob's worth - for those who are having trouble with time- what about a short drive - more of a meet at a venue where there's a bite and refreshments, and away home after lunch?
Suggestion:
Meet @ say Brooklin or PITS, refresh and meet, drive to Wollombi, refresh and meet and sanga - break-up and home - by say 3pm.
Sydney blokes meet somewhere @ say 8am, convoy to 1st meet,
I'll escort Harry to 1st meet. (Not sure if he's allowed out weekends, yet though, and there's also the problem of his keeping up)
Sorry, H.

Windsor - Singleton via Putty Road?
I've done that run before, and its a great stretch of road that really suits our cars. There are some tight sections where you might want something lighter, but for the most part its open sweepers that we can exploit the wheelbase, grip, and torque of our cars on. Its also relatively smooth and well surfaced.
I don't have too many shots from my last NSCC Dawn Run on Putty Road (the loop was up the Old Pacific Highway to Gosford, out to Broke, and then down Putty to Windsor), but if you'd like to see a couple of shots visit my gallery.
If its raining I'm still up for it....I'll just be a little more sedate. I haven't done a Blue Mountains run so I'd love to be in for that, but Putty's one of my favourite roads at the moment.
My only recommendation is that if we do it during the day on the weekend, that we make it a Dawn Run. Meet before sunup, so when we get to the start of the good stuff the sky is just starting to lighten.
It means we encounter next to no traffic, and things always look clearer at dawn.

Well going to the mountains is just a casual affair! Drive up to Katoomba have lunch... there are plenty of side road options if people have time. In short it's a nice social meet!
Best place to meet would be McDonalds on the M4.

I'm not a fan of early morning starts. But if every one agrees to get there early I'll do my best. Windsor-Singleton run sounds good to me. So how many people would go to it, so far it would be zuff, frosty, scathing, KY350, Harry, Murray, Aus Z, Scandrew and me. So that's 9 of us, any one else?
How does September 5th sound? Every one will get a Saturday to was their cars for photo shoot
Also the time, 8am?

Its getting close to the times that people have suggested. Can whoever's arranging the meet post up some firm times / meetup locations somewhere, so at least everyone knows?
I'd prefer a Sunday morning run, but if you can push the meet-up to after 8:30 then I should be able to make Saturdays.

How about we meet in Windsor at 8 am! Not sure where since it's been a while since I've gone there.
There is a paved street where all the shops are and I think the parking is a street behind that.
Maybe someone in the know can advise.

lol..a bit late to be telling us now!
Funny how most people end up at the Cross when they first come. Whats with funneling people into our red light district?
BTW Windsor is way NW... open the street directory and you'll find it. Look for putty rd.

zuff, kings x is all about money
I've just checked windsor and it looks like I'll need to leave my place around 7am. I think I'll need to get a keg of coffee with me for the trip.

nuff we can meet around Gladesville if you want to get coffee before we head off.
There's a real good coffee shop at Boronia Park.
Who else is coming? And where from?

So what date are we meeting? If its a Saturday morning, can we push it back to 8:30ish? I won't be able to get up there until around then. I'll also be quite tired, but I'll just juice up on coffee and cola.
There's a McDonalds near Windsor with a massive car park; that might be a goer.
