zuff, sounds good to me.
scathing, which way are you going to be heading from? Like zuff has mentioned, we might stop someplace before windsor for coffee.

I'll be coming from St Leonards (working). I'll be finishing at around 7:30AM.
From there, the quickest way would be for me to hop on to the M2, ride it to the end, and head up towards Windsor.

Its going to be a busy weekend that weekend.
I might try and head out to Oran Park on Friday to see the Drift Nats. Saturday morning cruising with you guys (tempted to just pull a sickie Friday night), and Monday I'm down at Wakefield for the track day.
I hope those stock market oil prices get reflected at the bowser soon...

It's a very long drive! We can do something more social if it'll get you Newcastle guys to come.
Frosty and Harry why don't you come up with something?
In short i'm looking for a good drive plus a good chance to meet the members of the forum. If i wanted to drive like a nutter i'd go to the track.
So c'mon Frosty...You come up with something!

Sorry, I can't make this Saturday anyway.
I have to work and then go to a wedding.
I'll give some thought to a drive somewhere, however, there really aren't that many good drives (other than those already discussed).
As always

I think that I posted something northbound at the front end of this thread - but since Harry's not allowed out to play, that leaves only me from the north - so I would'nt expect to much weight to be given to my conveniences.
I'll still give serious thought to attending, but by the time that I get there, it'll be time to go home!
I'll watch the posts. Might even be two of me - the boy racer is coming to visit, but there's not much to see - it's only silver. (!)
BILLIOUS

Thanks Zuffy
I'll be leaving my place at about 7:30am. If its raining, I'll ring you just before then to advise that I won't be going. I hope it a nice sunny day.

I found my Potenzas went off after my first overheating session.
When I had the Touring rims, I put them through a lot of hot/cold cycles on the Track, and after that they went harder than taxi tyres.
When I bought the Track rims, I took it out to a skidpan day (where the concrete was wet with a constant stream of water). I expected a little loss of grip because I would have buffed them smooth, but even after a lot of wear they still don't grip as nicely as when I first got them.
Can't stand these tyres. As soon as they wear out, I'm getting semi-slicks or AVS102's (or some other type of aggressively directional tread).
But, I'll be there tomorrow morning regardless of the weather.

I was at Peter's garage today just getting a large plastic tarp removed from under the exhaust (efin truck drivers)!
Anyway... he had 3 new Pilots given from a guy who hated them (1 was punctured)... I came a day too late as he showed me one...said the other 2 were stolen last night.
Now that would have been the cheapest set of pilots ever....

OK - If we're all going to be going slowly in the rain, if it rains, then i'll also join you all even if the weather is bad.
Too bad about the Michelins Zuffy - I take it they were Pilot Sports and not Primacy's. If so, I wonder what exactly the previous owner hated about those tyres. PS supposed to be one of the best all - around performance tyres, whitout going to R spec.

they are noisy tyres! Peter put the guy onto Khumo (spelling?) and he was real happy.
Also the guy couldn't believe it costs 700+ bucks to replace the punctured one.
Still wish I was there in time.

Hope everyone had fun on Putty Road, since none of you had been on it before. As you can see, its a road that suits our cars, with high speed sweepers that we can use our wheelbase, suspension tune, and torque to good effect on.
I realise I set a pretty rapid pace, and I'm glad that no-one thought I was a loon in those times when I got some open stretch of road and opened her up. I've only done that road in the daytime once, but I know that its a lot of fun and I wanted to see how the intake and exhaust goes.
The engine feels very strong, especially in the higher gears. While I spent most of the time cruising in 6th, there were a couple of times I knocked it back into 5th for some more torque and so I could balance the car on the throttle. The engine loves revving out, and hopefully it'll be good enough for me to not want cams.
Props go out to Nuff's Koni's. Jaw-droppingly amazing how much it transforms the character of the car. No more kickback and nervousness over bumps, but at the same time the car doesn't bodyroll any more.
Anyway, my gallery can be found at my web site. The direct link to the gallery is at:

I know that the forum system removes expletives, but I think you guys can figure out the characters to replace.
