19" Rim Question
Out of all you guys and gals that have fitted some aftermarket rims to your Z how much did they cost?
I'm looking at importing some Dp-Luck rims, and i thought the quote was pretty exy. However the last time i bought mags were 16" for my lancer.
How much should i be expecting to pay for some 19's and 18's?

it's all depend on the brand and tyres brand.
In here 19" 245 & 275 is about AU$1800 for Bridgestone SO-3 with Wheels.
As for the Rims 19" is about AU$4000 (for Volk racing and 8.5j & 9.5j)
other brand could be cheaper.
Cheers

I paid $3000 all up including freight and import duties for a set of Rays forged 18" LM-GT4 rims 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears plus a set of Yokahama AVS 102's cost me $460 fronts each and $560 for the rears.

As stated, it'll depend on the brand. Buying Jap name-brand will cost you pretty big dollars.
My colleague recently picked up some 18" rims from Tempe Tyres at $250 a corner (no tyres), whereas I wouldn't ever consider that I'd buy brand new rims that big for that little.
The 17" rims I want are going to cost me AUD$850 a corner, which is far less than the USD$1000 a corner HRE rims I've been drooling at.

Altstadt EXEs
I certainly agree with comments around being very wary of cheap wheels. I've been caught there before. Like so much else in life I think it is yet another case of you getting what you pay for.
I have some cheap things on my SS commodore that, after a few years, are stuffed.
So I opted for some Altstadt EXEs on my Z, now stolen but let's not go there, on the basis they will last much longer. (And look fantastic.) They're three piece so offer more repair options should that be required.
All up, with rubber, Falkens, they cost around $7k. They're 19x9.5 and 19x10.
When my car is replaced I'll be getting the same again as I was very happy with them.
Hope this helps.
