I run full stiff up front and about 1/2 in the rear.
I used to be full soft in the rear for traction, but mid-corner response was effected.
With a little more dampening in the rear (effectively packing/jacking the damper and increasing the rear spring rate) I haven't lost too much corner-exit traction AND the rear rotates much better.

Koni Yellows: full stiff up front; 2 sweeps off soft rear. I've heard a few folks using full stiff front and rear... tried it... seems to work at the concrete surfaced site on hot days... but we don't have that many hot days.

350evo front and rear sway bars
JIC Ti single exit exhaust system and y-pipe.

JWT popcharger.
It seems to me that the only thing that would be legal are offset bushings... but nobody makes these for our cars.
It just sucks that strut suspensions can use camber plates and camber bolts are allowed if they use factory mounts... and even solid axles can change upper link mounting locations. Did I miss something, or does that cover just about every other type of suspension besides ours?

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm running in the ProSolo in Denver and wanted to get a set of Cusco front camber arms before I race.
The problem is that I still can't find anywhere in the SCCA rules that states that these types of changes are allowed in Street Prepared. And since the burden is on me to show that I can in fact use these, if protested...
Can anyone provide insight and specific rules that would allow this type of change?
jun14scr and mpowers, you both said it is in fact legal. Can you show me where this information is located?
Thanks -Casey

You can not find it because it is not legal in SP. You can use camber plates, offset bushings or crash bolts.

Based on the research I've been doing, a 350Z can be nationally competitive (even with the looming BMW E36 move from DSP). Here's what should be attainable with a to-the-limit, legal BSP 350Z:
330 to 350 crank horsepower (per Jim Thompson at Sunbelt).
2,800 to 2,850 lbs.
285/30-18 V710s on 18 x 10.5s.
That should be close to what the C4s and the E36s with the 3.2L make. The E36 will probably weight in around 2,650 so that might be an issue and the C4s have more torque.
I thought enough of the 350Zs chances that I bought one myself.

I was running BSP all 2005/half of 2006. Now I'm running SM2 cause of my 14.25" AP Racing BBK.
BSP Mods:
Hotchkis Sways/Springs
Koni Yellow's
JWT Popcharger
The best mods for autoxing are tires and driver lessons IMO.
btw: Why is everyone running the nismo exhaust? Good upgrade?

Just for giggles, here's my DSP Neon. Aside from seats, harnesses, and R compound tires, it is modified to the full extent of the law.
http://myweb.cableone.net/lawson370/neonracing_003.htm
This cost me about 8 grand in mods and what little labor I couldn't do on my own. To fully modify a Z to BSP would cost easily over $15,000.
That's why a lot of people either stay in stock class or give up on PAX scores and just have fun modifying and racing the car. My Z is now in SM2 for autocross, but it will still be good for local <300 HP time attack classes and drifting.
