I think bert can chip in on this one... I think one weighed in ~3100. For reference, my Evo IX weighed in at 3190 the same day on the same scale.
Tony (thinks all cars weigh less than manufacturer's say)

First of all, no claimed Z coupe curb weight is even close to those numbers. The heaviest is the '06 manual GT at 3404lbs. My '04 base model weighs around 3050 with some simple things done.
Second of all, nissans numbers are curb weight.
Nissan factors in all fluids including a full tank of gas. Our huge 20 gal tank that adds ~120lbs to the figure alone. People seem to forget when they are getting close to empty the car is about 100 lbs lighter. They also forget that the Z has a bigger tank than most other cars, which makes the car look heavier on paper.
Not to mention, not many people take a bone stock car straight from the factory, make sure all fluids are topped off, and then go have the car weighed to compare it against nissans numbers. That just doesn't happen very often.

My car (03 Touring) weighed 3180 lbs at MIR with a 1/4 tank of gas.
Mike's car (an 06 Touring) weighed 3170 lbs at MIR on the same day with a 1/4 tank of gas and his spare and jack removed.

I weighted my 03 (touring equivalent) and it weighted 3090lbs with a little less than 1/4 tank of gas. (Kintix cats, injen SES, lightweight battery, UR pulley, 17" fn01r-c, and a few other things)
that's pretty light
