275's all around + front swaybar

So I think I got an incredible deal with DTD for a set of 20lb 17x9 et27 MB Competition wheels and 275/40 Falken RT-615 tires mounted, balanced and shipped to my door for $1100. I'm pretty sure this is going to give me a little bit of oversteer so I was thinking about purchasing a Progress front swaybar for $130 from P-Tuning(down the street from me) to help control the assumed prominent ass-happy conditions.

This would be for HPDE circuit track use and possibly two time trials(street class where I need to have a 140+ UTQG rated tire) in a few months.
Thoughts? I have a tendency to jump on to purchases and want to make sure I'm not going to regret this.

do it. I have 245's all around. no oversteer, no vdc or abs issues. Just a nice, neutral car. And I have falkens too. great choice!

I'm running the same wheels with same size r-comps all around. I've loved this setup for AutoX. I haven't had too much oversteer issues, with my sways set at med/med and playing with tire psi.

Hey it's Brett from VIR,

I had the same rim/tire set-up and you will be fine. I really didnt get any more oversteer, just less understeer, if that makes sense.

You can still get it to push on lower speed stuff and at a auto-x.

also interested in the bar

i too have the same wheels on 255 all around. no oversteer, understeer is still there but the car behaves more neutral than stock.

Let me know. I'll be taking the car apart next week probably monday/tuesday so thats when it will be available.

Man, that is an awesome price! I wish I found these when I was shopping for my track wheels/tires. Going with the same tire widths all around definitely makes the car better balanced, and easier to rotate.

I'm also running 245/40/18 RT615's on all four corners on stock 06 wheels.

The car handled very well and neutral with no oversteer. I've only used this setup at laguna, but will do thunderhill and buttonwillow soon.

BTW, great price!
