Building a trailer, need spec's

I am going to get a trailer built for my Z. Was wondering what spec's I should go for and if there are anything else besides a beaver or dove tail that would make loading a Z with a body kit easier.

Thanks

a trailer for the Z to tow tires, or for a truck to tow the Z?

To tow the Z.

If it's an enclosed trailer, having a winch is a must. I'd also measure the distance between inside fenders to make sure you can get in and out of a trailer easier.

But my question is, why spend the money on a new trailer, when you can purchase a used trailer for 20-25% off (or more)? The used ones can be practically new, but the first owner debugged it and is practically begging someone to buy it in this economy!

I am going to get a used trailer. I wasn't sure if I need to or can get it modified for a lowered car. My father is going to get this done for me I just need to give him the spec's.

Open or closed trailer? What're you towing with?

trailer

If you are towing a lowered car you need a trailer with a "beaver tail" and you need a longer ramp added to the drop-down door. We have a ramp that is about 48" long. Look at www.racingjunk.com for new and used trailers near you. We use a 28' Pace top of the line trailer and one outfitted with cabinets and lots of goodies like aluminum wheels, floor boxes and etc. costs new around $15k. You can also get a cheap 20' Hallmark double axel for a lot less. Be sure to buy a spare tire and wheel. Bob
