review, alpinestar karting gloves and shoes
I know... I shouldn't get karting stuff... no nomex. but considering I'm just going for HPDE and I use an open face helmet I guess eventually burning my hands and feet is the less damage at that point.
btw: straight from alpinestar shop online or saferacer (same prices).
I'm pretty sure they will allow me to shave at least 1 second per lap... and putting the alpinestar sticker into the trunk of the car gave me at least 10 more WHP.
gloves: 10+ (for the money)
great fit, great feeling with the steering wheel, external seams were it does matter. really really comfortable to wear. nice ventilation at the root of the fingers, excellent grip. well spent ~60$
you forget you're wearing gloves after 30 seconds of driving. they don't slip around, just an outstanding grip
shoes: 8 (for the money)
they fit larger that the puma speedcat and they fit like regular nike (as size)
I was lucky using my nike number when I ordered them.
transpiration is good, you lose some sensitivity compared to the speedcat but they are reinforced where I'm used to destroy the pumas.
