It's official... NISMO Z = Japan 500 GT series
 

It is now official.......

The NISMO GT-R will be replaced with the Z ... for the Japan GT 500 series...

I saw the engine tuner was listed as Tomei, any info on the engine and how they achieved 500 ponies?

actually that's just too much!!! why with the big azz wing? it's autocross, not a drag race. for the rear, why is there an extension? more weigh(still light as hell)!!!

why they replace the GT-R :( i thought the GT-R is Quicky already. Unless they try to gain the nissan 350Z Reputation through GT500.

Because the R34 GT-R is being disontinued by Nissan. The GT-R will make its return with the new GT-R in the future. The Z is being used as "filler."

btw for anyone who doesnt know of tomei
tomei is the ish BOTTOM LINE.

There have been two major engine tuners for the GT-R... Autech Japan and Tomei.


-- It appears that Autech will be the Z engine tuner for the 2 NISMO entrants.
-- Tomei will be the Z engine tuner for Hasemi Motor Sports & Team Impul.


It is going to be an interesting and great year having Z's race again in the Japan GT500 series.
