Great to hear that David is on his way to a full recovery!

I don't post much these days but David was always extremely helpful with answering questions from the newbies. All the best and get well soon!

Speed safely everyone!

Already passed along all of your regards and good wishes - at least collectively. I'm sure in a short while he'll be back on here to give everyone the gory details - he told me about it but it reminded me too much of my own "off track excursion" that I can't repeat it without getting the shakes. Heh heh.

My last big crash I had 3 of these the first night, I was in heaven. The next 6 days, nothing, I think my roommate scared the hot chicks off with his constant whacking.

Wow! I just logged on after two years’ absence and I see this. Dkmura was easily one of the smartest guys here with an abundance of good humor, hope he’s back on his feet as soon as possible.

Mic, if possible, please give him my best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.

Default Update #2 on David

GREAT NEWS!!

Talked to David and he's out of the hospital and recuperating at HOME!!

In his words:

"My current status is encouraging. From being intebated to walking independently in a week is one lap record I'd rather not have. Hospital discharge was yesterday and 6-8 weeks of rehab before getting back to driving. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers, I'm grateful for every one." (And that means everyone here.)

The big question - in my sick mind at least - how long before he gets back on here and tells people how sophisticated the Z's diagnostics are and to only use OEM (or Nismo) parts. (Yes, there's a recurring theme in his posts for those of you who don't know him. Probably why we get along so well. Laff.....)

Seriously though.... great news!!

Mic

No worries, Jen, he'll back on here and see them all in no time at all.

And welcome back!

Damn, never met DK but reading all of his posts (which tend to be all over the place, lol) almost gives one the sense of knowing someone. Anyways best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery, maybe he'll have a gnarly story for us all when he returns.

Happy to hear he's out of the hospital. Hope for a full and speedy recovery. Stay strong!

High speed brake failure always makes me think to the dreaded 'ice mode'..

Been a couple of weeks since last update and I talked to David this morning.

Recovery is slow and tiring but he's in good spirits. The crux of our convo in his words:

"Hey Mic- sorry for the delay, but every day is a bit of an adventure. Today is a good example, just feeling worn out, despite 10 hours of sleep! Healing takes time and is one reason why I haven't resumed posting on the boards. Cold, overcast weather here in Denver today- starting to wish for some warmer climes in the future!"

I chided him with, "Dude, you can't rush to get through this like a race corner!"
