Cost for RA-1's
 

Hi, I was just curious as to how much everybody is getting their RA-1's for. I found them for $189 each... Is that as good of a deal as i think it is?

BTW, this is a 245/40/18 inch Toyo RA-1 (not a t1-s.. i'm positive).

Also, would i experience any push or any negative effects runnign RA's in the front and T1-S in the rear?

thats the lowest i've seen for those specs. care to share where you're finding the 245/40/18 ra1 for $190?:)

I would like to know this as well. That size normally goes for about $50 more!

There's 6 tires left guys... once they sell those, they go up to $239 each. Y'all are lucky that JReiter is selling me his T1-s in the same size for really cheap otherwise i'd be a whore :D

Dont run RA1 on one axle and T1s on the other axle, two different tires, tread compound, tread pattern etc, will cause upredictable handling at best, scary at worst...

FYI a lot of car clubs now will not allow people on track with mis-matched tires.

I have T1-s in the back and am getting a set from the front-- thus the reason that I'm NOT gonna pick off 4 of those RA-1's

For what it's worth AIM tire has been very good to me. They're the official sponser of NASA up here and set up a tent at most of the norcal events. They've replaced a flat for me right at the track. I didn't even miss a session!

I run mis-matched tires all the time and haven't had anything bad happen. Meaning, different in the front than the rear. It's pretty popular in autocrossing to run grippy tires in the front with a step down in the rear, if the car is undertsteering. If you were to run RA1s in the front and T1S in the rear it might be loose depending on how the car is setup otherwise, but I don't see how it would hurt anything.. and i've been doing it for years with no problems.
