2007 350Z convertible outside door handle removal

How do you remove the door handle on a convertible 350z? I only see one rubber grommet. The 350Z coupe has two rubber grommets with 10 mm bolts behind them, the convertible has one. Please help!!

Have you fixed the door handle yet. I'm in the process of replacing the drives side door handle.

Finding the second one is the challenge. On the convertibles there is only 1 rubber grommet for one of the screws.. there is a steel door guide where the top grommet should be.. I think I have to remove the door guide to get to my top bolt. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, you need to remove the door guide pin. If memory serves right, it's held in with 3 torx screws.

Make sure you use a 10mm magnetic nut setter to avoid dropping the bolts into the door.

painters tape in the socket works in a pinch also

One bolt is already at the bottom of my door.. will try the painters tape since there are not any stores near me that carry magnetic nutt setters...

GOHeels!!!

My man! If you were close, I'd just let you come by and borrow mine. Handle removal/replacement only takes about 10 mins once you've done it.

Just went out and checked (the benefit of working from home). They're T30.

I need same info. All videos show the coupe versions. I think need to remove 3 torx screws holding alignment pin to get to upper handle mount bolt. Can anyone verify?
