Question: My daughter has a convertible 350z and we just bought it a year ago and we were told the switches were bad in it. not the seat motors. my only problem is that when you are taking the top down the passender seat automatically moves but driver doesnt and if it was just the switch wouldnt it move as well? is it the motors and if so where on earth can i get those? please help LOL thank you

With a simple volt meter you can check the main seat harness for power. If nothing, then move backwards to fuse. If yes, measure for voltage at switches, then motors. GL! |
Step one: Try spraying electrical cleaner into the switch. It may have dirt in it.
It is very easy to remove the seat. . . . 4 bolts and maybe three snap together wire connections. With the seat out of the car, you can apply 12V to the motor wires to determine if the motor(s) still functions. If you determine the switch has actually failed, pm me, I might have one. |
