This is a question almost impossible to answer from behind a keyboard. It really needs a hands-on approach with an owner of another '06 Z33. Have you considered going to your local Z club and seeing if anybody there might own one that can help you? Conversely, you could put out a post listing your location (other than "yep") and seeing if there's anybody near you willing to help. If you live anywhere near Denver, Colorado I'd help in a more direct manner. I've done it before for Colorado Z owners.
