ALSO, I have gotten PM's where people have dremeled the camber arm location! MAKE SURE to only SLOT and dremel the TOE LOCATION - notice that the toe location is the subframe SLOTS that are BEHIND The differential. They are the slots where the spring bucket arm attaches to the subframe lug!

guys, hands down i recommend everyone elongate both sides - I have been lazy and have not updated this on this thread, but i recommend elongating both sides and this is why:

The subframe is aluminum and the slot the toe adjust bolt fits into there due to raised sections on each side....well, those raised sections are soft aluminum.

HUMAN ERROR:
you take the z to the local alignment shop, and sit in the waiting area. IF you dont tell the alignment guy "hey, by the way, I only slotted one side" he will be WRENCHING on that toe bolt, over powering the FLAT in the eccentric and DAMAGING the RAISED section of the subframe sides.

dun, dun, dun.....crappy sliptastic alignment...

unless your there doing your own alignment, then you run the risk of an alignment tech, trying to roate the toe bolt 360 degrees and with the slot not being elongated the opposite direction you CAN NOT turn it 360, he has to go all the way back around......

someone said the 04 up Z's toe bolt slot is already big enough to fit the SPC toe bolt in, has anyone done install the SPC toe bolt by themselves?

I have an 04 Z and the slot was not long enough..I'm sure protocav could clarify as he has done this install dozens of times..

Just did the install...took me about 2.5 hours because I like to take long beer breaks :) Not too bad overall. I did have to unbolt my rear sway bar to get the bolts for the factory arms out, and my borla TD exhaust kind of got in the way as far as dremmeling out the holes from the backside went. Other than that...it was a snap. Alignment tomorrow, and then I'll give my impressions.

i want to get this kit to bring my rear camber back into specs but is it necessary to install the toe bolt also? I had my alignment done and the rear toe is in specs. The rear camber however is at -2.5deg. if it matters...this is lowered on tein basics. The rear is dropped to it's max(1.1 inch).

When you alter the camber you are going to throw the toe out. You're better off getting them both...

im new to the alignment stuff. this bolt is all we need to align the car?

im curious because after my 19's and 1.5 inch drop, the stock camber/toe's were bottomed out during alignment and i still wasnt back to spec. my stock ones bottomed out at -2.5 and i need to be at -2.1

You'll need the bolts AND the arms to get back in to spec. It's sold as a kit.
