Default Adjusting rear coilovers

I've looked around/searched for a bit and couldn't find an answer to my question regarding adjusting rear oem style coilovers.

My question is, how do you adjust the rear height of the car? The springs have a perch and the shock has a perch. I've read on the g35 forum that you have to adjust the spring perch first then adjust the shock, but how do I know how much to lower the shock in correlation to the spring?

I'm assuming the spring is the lowering element, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have Megan street coilovers if that helps.

Thanks

I am not sure about the proportion for Spring/shock, but you are correct, the spring perch is what "lowers" the car. I would just play with it and see what you like the most.

Anyone else want to chime in? I'm sure the height of the shock in correlation to the spring is important..I don't think I can just lower the spring perch and adjust the shock however I want to..
