Koni's & OEM Springs
 

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting some Koni yellows to use with the stock springs for my 350z Touring. I don't track my car and drive mixed city & highway. Looking for feedback on the koni's in this configuration and what the recommended settings would be for them (all the way soft? # of turns from all soft etc for front and rear???)

Full soft is fine on the street.

We do know that since the Koni's are rebound only adjustable, you can't adjust the stiffness of the shock, right? Your adjusting the rate at which the shock allows the spring to return to normal when compressed. Full soft on the rebound control is what I see most everyone use.

Like the others, full soft is good for street use. I would, however, highly recommend a good set of adjustable sways such as the Hotchkis or EVOs. This combined with these shocks will definitely give you a noticeable improvement in ride quality. OEM shocks will work fine with this setup. You can, however, add springs later if you decide you want to give your car a more aggressive stance (lower). This will further improve handling especially on corning. Obviously, the lower you go, the more difficult it is to drive your car everyday on the street. I personally have the Hotchkis Sports Springs & IMO it's a perfect drop. Gives it a nice drop & you can keep it within spec without having to purchase additional camber adjustment arms. These are simply my preference. There are many other springs out there that you can choose from that can also give you the same/similar results. It's really up to you.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the konis?

600.00 is alot for something you will barely notice will commuting.

I have an '03 Touring 6-spd and I'm trying to improve ride quality (harshness and bounce). I ended up ordering the Koni Sport yellows and Tein H-Tech Springs based on research here in the forums. Should be here in a week. Having those done when I have new Bridgestone Potenza S-03s installed shortly after the suspension shows up. Hopeing for the best!!!
