Lowered on Eibachs but the rear won't settle right?
 

Ok here is the deal, I lowered my Z on eibachs months ago. Everything went ok on install. For some odd reason it just doesn't seem to settle perfectly right though...

Basically the front is fine, the rear on the other hand flucutates. One day my left rear wheel will have no gap, then the next day it will have a 2 finger gap? It's the same for the right rear, even though that side always shes a larger gap no matter what. Is this normal?

Sounds like an install problem or the cars on uneven ground.

Sounds more like an install problem. If the springs aren't installed in the correct orientation, and/or you don't get the other suspension components adjusted and/or aligned correctly, you can have all kinds of problems.

You just can't kick out the old springs and put in shorter ones.

If you do this mod, you MUST be sure that all other components (shocks, etc.) are compatible with the shorter springs.

I had Eibachs on my old '98 Mustang and they were great! :icon38:

But I also had a professional shop do all the work. They replaced the springs and shocks and bushings and did an alignment all at the same time. I also had camber/caster plates installed so that the alignment could be done properly. This is not a cheap mod, if you want it done right.

Thats the thing, it was done right. I mean the rear of this car doesn't get any easier to install springs into. I had an alignment done afterwards too, everything came out ok. It just seems to vary a bit.

How much do you weigh?

I had the same problem and i installed them right...But when i put my tokico shocks in the problem was fixed

Check it on the same piece of ground each day. Like a previous poster mentioned, I'll be you'll find that the problem you're seeing is due to uneven ground at the various locations you're observing this problem.
