Im tooo low with 20's, what suspension should i get??
 
Currently im lowered with an eibach kit but not sure what kit. Right now my problem is corners with bumps and my wheel hitting my fender.

I was told that i should put springs on the car that will lower it quarter of an inch instead of over an inch.

If i do lower it quarter of an inch with 20's wont that come out to be the car being higher than stock??

What kind of springs should i do and what ride height will it put me at?

Im looking for something pretty firm and not bouncy and will give me a decent gap beetween my fender and wheel.

My buddy has 19s on his car with the hotchkis kit that lowers its 9/16s and he has a 1 inch gap beetween his tire and fender, if i do that ill have a half inch gap since my rims are an inch bigger so i kind of want a little more.

What do i do? I was thinking swift springs but not sure because i dont want to buy something and not have it work right.

that's not too low. It might just be your wheel offsets that's pushing it out a little too much, or your camber was setup too close to 0.

Just roll your fenders if you've done so already. I'm lowered a lot more (Tein basics...lowest setting) with VERY aggressive offsets. I cut the fenders and it doesn't rub.

Lowered on Swift.

Rubbing all depends on your offset and rim width. You can either change your wheels, or roll your fenders,... or like you were opting for, putting more space between tire and fender. Problem is, going with Swift (-.6"F, -.8"R) may not be enough height if your offset and width is extreme, so it may still rub during some situations... but not as much as it's happening now. No rubbing and rolling of fenders on my setup.

the swift springs i was going to go with will lower the car .3 front and .2 rear in think. and im on 20s. The car is just to low when i am making turns. when the wheel is turned its just below the fender as you can see in this pic:

now imagine driving on horrible socal roads hitting bumps on the freeway with the wheel turned, it rubs. Another problem is I cant get over the speed bumps at my work, my exhaust scrapes underneath which also sucks.

Im just curious if i should lower it quarter of an inch or half an inch....which would be better and how big would the wheel gap be from the fender?? and how low would the car be??

What tire size are you using on that front wheel? Then I can tell you if it's way too big or not. Just looking at it, the tires sidewall height looks too thick. You may be running a tire that is way bigger in diameter than you should be running.

Nevermind, I see it in one of the pics.

You have 255/35/20 up front. According to Falken's specs for the FK-451 found here: http://www.falkentire.com/fk451_sizes.html, your tires outer diameter (OD) is 27.2 inches. The stock Bridgestone outer diameter for the RE-40 (for base and enthusiast) up front is 25.9. So in essence, your tires that you bought for the front is not right for the car. It is 1.3 inches, a little more than 1 and a quarter inches too big. If you have your stock wheels and rolled it up on the side of your current wheels, you'll notice a big difference.

Remember, when you go bigger on your wheels, your tire side wall height will shrink, obviously. You should find a tire that closely matches the OD of your stock tires. Your speedometer, as well as your odometer will be thrown off, but in this case, it'll be way off. Finding correct tire sizes that works with your wheels sometimes can be quite taxing.

Oh, and BTW, you should run Falken's new FK-452. They have 245/30/20 which has an outside diameter of 25.8 inches, or 255/30/20 which has an OD of 26 inches. Remember, stock (for base/enthusiast) is 25.9 inches, so both of those look spot on... it'll just depend if you want a wider tire (255) which will depend on how wide your rim is which will effect if the tire is stretched, or bulged. Heck, it may even just be less stretched, or more bulged... you get the idea. Don't let this "stretched/bulged" stuff confuse you though. As it is, your tire is just too damn big.

Oh, and very last thing... Swift does not make springs that lower it only .2/.3 inches. You sure it's swift? It might be the teins you're talking about.

Swift doesn't make a spring for the Z that drops .3/.2 , but Tein's 350Z H-tech does maybe someone got the two confused. Swifts sport mach lowering spring for the Z has a .8/.6 drop.

RSR makes a .6" drop spring and Espelir makes a .4" drop spring. Though I'm a little leary of the latter since they have high peak spring rates on oem shocks.

yea sorry the swift springs i was actually going to go with lower 3/4 of an inch. Only problem is they are on back order for a month or so and i need springs now. I was thinking about the hotchkis but not sure......

Any suggestions??

so i decided to go with the swift springs that lowered it 3/4 of an inch. It ended up perfect!! ride is super nice and wheel gap and fitment is amazing! Thanks for everyone input.

Did you change your tire? Them tires are too big. Anyways, nice to see another dude choose SWIFT.
