Sways + Front/Lateral/ Rear GT Brace...will it work?

I'm thinking about getting the Hotchkis sways and the GT front, lateral and rear braces. Will this set up work? I guess what I mean is, having all of these bars...overkill ?

Another question is, do they all use different connection points on the car? Thanks, any advice will be appreciated.

I have after-market sway bars and all three GT Spec braces. They all have different mounting points. And yes, it improves the Z's handling features. My Z can take corners & curves with ease. I'm also looking at adding the GT Spec mid-chassis brace also.

There are actualy 4 braces.

The upper and lower rear lateral brace, the front lower lateral brace, and the chassis ladder brace.

I have the exact setup your talking about. Definately felt a big diffrence in hard turns. Infact I realy need to readjust the rear sways, the front is rock solid. More than likely I need to reduce the preload on all 4 springs as well. That shold let her plant a little more solid. Before the engine install I had a little problem of it being a little too stiff and starting to break loose alittle.

I'll have to drive it some though because of the new diff too. I basicly need to relearn the whole car handeling again. Nothing some road time and fine tuning wont fix.

Over all I like the set up. There is a front chassis brace that Tanabethat fits as well that will give an even more defined level of chassis stiffness but I personaly dont like it. It stick WAY too far down.

I would say go for it on the Hotchkis GT-Spec set up.

Hey, thanks for the detailed post. I will definitely look into this set up once I get the chance. It really looks awesome btw. What kind of driving do you use with this setup? Like drag/drift/time attack?

Right now not too much. Still working little issues with the engine install. That and the fact that this spring they closed the only track here on Oahu. So Im biding my time till some thing comes up.

yo chris, i'm always scrapping my exhaust over speed bumps (i think the cats or flex part of the Y-pipe) do you think i'd be ok with the sways and other tanabe bars, besides the 4 pt, as far as being so low and scrapping?

Just curious, do you guys actually feel a difference with the GT Spec Rear Lateral Arm Brace and the front/rear tie bars? I got the 4pts brace and wondering should I complete the set.

One person says he feels it but I want to hear from the rest of you guys.

What exhaust do you have btw? I would like to be sure of the clearance issue on things. Trying checking you mod list and it isn't showring for me.

I have the APS dual 2.5 exhaust in that picture.

I think most dual exhausts will clear the rear lateral bar just fine. The singles you have to look out for or modify to clear it

Did they come out with a front lateral brace that clears a oil pan spacer? Looks like you have a spacer in the picture.

for the record, I have NEVER scraped my red tanabe brace on anything, but I've scraped the GT spec ladder brace several times because it's in the middle of the car, as far from both the front and rear tires as you can get. The tanabe brace is right there next to the front tires, so it's just not as likely to scrape as the GT spec one. My tanabe brace is in almost mint condition without even a scratch
