It's pretty cold in Dallas this time of year. It's normal when brakes are cold. If they stop squealing when you drive for a few minutes, they are ok....

Many people like to have their rotors "turned" everytime the replace pads. Me personally, I think it's overkill. The only time I turn my rotors is when they are causing my steering wheel to shake during braking or when the "squealer" tab on the brake pad has already begun to dig into the rotor, causing an indented wear line in the rotor. This happens when you forget to replace pads and they are beyond their life expectancy....
You're brake pads may have already been worn past their life expectancy. (Refer to my 1st comments)

well theres still a good amount left on the pad so that leads me not to believe they are worn out yet. theres roughtly 4-5 mm left on the pads.

so i can resurface my brembos? im just a little skeptical with all the opinions about brembo rotors getting resurfaced. i think the last owner changed the pads and not the rotors. i believe thats why my brakes make squeaks under high heat. possible glaze on the rotors?

what do you mean by "turn"... just turning the rotor so the other side is used instead of the current side? lol what if the other side of the rotor is jacked up? then it wouldnt be such a good idea would it?

Turn, cut, resurface, it's all the same thing. You take you rotors off and take them to an auto parts store or performance shop. They put the rotor on a machine that cuts into the metal real slow as it turns. It's kinda like a sharp needle on a record player cutting into the rotor slowly. What it does is shaves a really small portion of the rotor's surface area off. This evens out the surface area and takes out any imperfections or slight warps that may have been on there.

Yes.

I had brake squeal on the stock pads, and then fitted endless CCR and it stayed the same. So after a few weeks of it driving me mad, I decided to go back to my old ways of de squealing brakes as mine were squealing front and rear.
Copper grease on both sides of the shims, on the parts of the springs that touch the pads and pins, and the pins themselves. I am very suspect of the sides of the springs that touch the center of the pads, they were very shiney. Job took about 45 mins. I have the Brembos.
No more squealing brakes. Happy days :)

actually.............squealing did keep returning eventually, especially after track days.
Now have DBA grooved discs and EBC yellow stuff pads (keeps the price down), no copper grease and no squealing after track days or any type of weather.

I have a Stoptech BBK 4pot front and rear on my g35 and the brakes are squealing like crazy.

I have Axxis Ult up front and Textar in the rear. I called Stoptech like many of you have and they have diagnosed my problem down to the pad material.

The guy I talked to at Stoptech recommend the 105 series of Posi Quiet pads (ceramic series). However after reading the reviews here, many of you guys have went with the Posi quiet 104 series (semi-metallic)

I believe the sound is only coming from the rear but I was recommended by the Stoptech guy to change the front as well. My car is a show/ daily driven car and it's driving me mad. At first I put up with it but having my parents in the car with the music on low rendered me to find a different solution.

Should I only change the rear or do both front and back? Is the 105 series good to use or try the 104. The 104 doesn't even show up on Stoptechreplacementparts.com

bump. It seems I'm running into another problem as the 4pot caliper in the rear on the stoptech kit is model number st-45 instead of st-40 which supposedly not compatible with all pads..... Can anyone chime in please

Yes, I went through alot of chit to fix the problem. My final conclusion, rear track or semi-track pads are just not meant for street driving, no matter what you do to them...
