Does anyone have any information on these coilovers? PCV? DFV? spring rates, etc...? Thanks.

it's the PCV setup 10kg front/7 kg rear
they were the PCV, now they are the DFV (DFV are the newer versions, different way of valving) http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=2155 DFV's are slightly more expensive, same spring rates etc, and we also have them available (takes a couple days to get) |

sorry Impul does not publish the spring rates, but I've never seen any literature to say they are any different. Ohlins puts their name on all sorts of product without making changes to them (every company does)...really wouldn't make a difference as Ohlins can set them up with whatever rate you want, or you can simply do it yourself, it uses a standardized Eibach spring, nothing special about it., Not only that but spring rates in and of themselves really tell you nothing - its all about the relationship of the valving to the spring in terms of defining something as "street" or "track" or "mix" (which I assume is what you're asking)

The Mines rates are within the Dampners published min and max level's without being revalved as published by Carrozzeria Japan. Ohlins USA imports them from Carrozzeria to be sold here under the Ohlins label. It would be easy for Carrozzeria to make a setup for Impul and Mines. If either company spec'd different valving, I would not touch either product since in certain circles their valving logic should be avoided vs what Ohlins/Carrozzeria R&D to. IMO, research what DFV valving is about, I would run that setup before the other two. Ohlins has several location's around the U.S. should you want to revalve. http://www.carrozzeriajapan.co.jp/oh.../index.html#HA |
