Springs: Can't make up my mind! eibach, tanabe pics
 

Here is my problem i want to lower my 06 z i want eibach pro kit because it has a nice drop and rides well i am also interested in Tanabe GF210 it has a better stance but i hear it does not ride as well what do u guys think? any pics or input would greatly be appreciated thanks!

save up and get some nice coilovers...u wont regret it

coilovers are the best way to go if you care about ride quality...

BC Racing coilovers are supposedly a very good ride and easy to adjust.

yea i no what u guys mean my rsx i had springs on their for 2 weeks then got coilovers they're definetly the way to go im looking to not spend that much :/

if you dont use your Z for the road course, no need to go with coilovers.

if i had to choose, i would go tanabe. if i had to do over again, i would have kept my hotchkis and cut the rear spring mount for another .5" inch drop.

Tanabe GF210 rides well.....untill the shocks give in.

yea im not looking forward to shocks giving in but if i go with springs thats whats going to end up in the future

Really? I thought mine wasn't low enough compared to other GF210 owners haha.
I guess mine looks lower because I'm running 255/35 and 285/35 instead of usual 245/35 and 275/35.

that has to be it. im running some bad negative camber with 275's. getting the camber fixed and some wider rubber as well. gonna get some tokico blue's as soon as my stock shocks go.

Looks nice and much better than the typical tire setup.

I would say Tanabe Gf210, because the Eibach doesn't lower enough in the rear. Hopefully, you'll get some Tokico shocks as well.

I would say coilovers.
But if you can only get springs, I had GF210's from Tanabe, they were great.
My Stance GR+ are way better though.

how do you figure that? Generally speaking coilovers are going to give you a harsher ride than a spring/damper upgrade. More responsive, but not a better ride.

OP I would personally never swap out the springs without upgrading the dampers as well. The added stress brought on by the new springs will cause your OEM shocks to wear sooner than normal, and you will end up doing the same job twice to swap in new ones. Nevermind that the added benefit of new dampers will better compliment the new springs.

I'm waiting for a few items to show up at my door, but I am upgrading my stock suspension to Eibach Sportlines (bigger drop than the Pro-Kits), Tokico dampers, SPC front and rear camber arms--everything including shipping will be less than $1000. I'll probably cut the spring mounts too.
