PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Work S1's and Project MU NO GO

I received my Project Mu BBK with the 14" rotors in the front and they most definitely DO NOT work with the Work S1's. We added 10mm spacers to the front wheels, and they cleared, but would not be driveable without massive amounts of negative camber.

That is all.

Does Work offer any different offsets from the factory for the S1's?

Moroccan_Mole Apr 11, 2008 02:34 PM

it just depends on what offset/face you're running

When adding the spacer, what does your offset become? How much the wheel stick out past the fender?

I'm facing a similar dilemma, but in the rear with my SSR's.

Ummmm, spacers don't change the wheels offset. It pushes the wheel out farther from the car. Offset is determined by how far in or out the center of the wheel is in correspondence to the hub. If the center of the hub mounting surface is even with the center of the wheel that is an offset of 0.

I tried 5 and 10 mm spacers. The 10 changed it to "+14" but still didn't clear. Not to mention, quite a bit of the caliper is covered. Ah well, I'll be selling the brakes here pretty soon.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you.

Smitty, think you can get a nice BBK installed before Zdayz? That sucks that they wouldn't fit -- where did you find out they would? I have no about that stuff myself lol.

I'll take those brakes off your hands...............:D

You probably have R disk fronts, 19 x 9.5 +24 I am assuming? They would probably clear the brakes with a T disk front (the face with the most clearance).
