Stoptech 332mm(13.1") fit with Enkei RPO-2J's

The Enkei RPO-2J in 17X9 35mm offset fit perfectly with the Stoptech 13.1" big brake kit. There's plenty of room between the caliper and the spokes and about 1/3" between the caliper and the inside of the wheel. Great news, it looks like I've finally found a great fit. I'm also running 275/40/17's in front and rear. In the front this is a VERY VERY tight fit on the 17's and I've got the Z lowered about 1.25" or so. On the inside of the tire, there is less than 1/4" of space between the tire and the suspension. At this point, I'm extremely please with the wheels/tires/brakes and suspension.

I have an autocross event in about 5 hours so I'll be able to post results of all the mods then. Previous to doing any of these mods listed below, I was always running 1.5-1.8 seconds behind the top S2000 with R-compound that was in my class. I hope to surpass him this week with all the mods and new R-compound, even though I'll now be in SM2 class, it will still be a good gauge of how well the mods come together.

I'll post results tonight!

Congratulations on the fit! Time to buy a Lottery ticket! Good luck at the autocross.

Now, how about a few pic's?

I just got back from disappointing day at the autocross. It seems that I didn't blead thge brakes good enough. The pedal went to the floor unless pumped twice going into corners. I ended up doing about 1.8 seconds slower than the fasters normal car, excluding the formula cars. Next week is the divisional championship, I need to do several practice runs this week to make sure all the kinks are out. I'll post hopefully some better results then.

zoaisis- what is the weight on those wheels?

zoasis Jul 27, 2003 09:22 PM

They are around 16-17lbs so weight is favorable.
