Need new rotors and brake pads for my stock brembo's, stock or aftermarket?
I have a stock brembo kit that needs servicing pretty soon, and I was wondering if I would be best off with aftermarket rotors and pads or if the stock equipment will serve me best. I was thinking about going with stoptech slotted rotors (or would cross drilled be better?), although I don't know what pads to go with.

aftermarket ftw! rotors stoptech or rotora pads project mu or endless :)

Not sure where you might find opinions and critiques about brake pads and rotors. Good luck.

2 Piece rotors FTW, plenty of people make them like DBA and racingbrake.

Also what is difference between how slotted and cross drilled rotors perform with the 350z? |
I just installed mine yesterday, took about 4 hours (all four corners). Stoptech slotted OEM replacements and Project Mu street pads. Thanks Andy at PERFORMANCE NISSAN for the parts. The braking is instant and snappy after I bedded brakes (just like when I drove it off the lot).
Metro Infiniti quoted me $1495 plus tax for ONLY THE REAR pads and rotors plus install. :icon9: So I decided to do the install myself for the whole car. :) |
personally i think the brembo rotors are more than sufficient for anything but hardcore track days.
When my pads were worn out....i just bought a tried and true set of Hawk HPS and love them. They bite good with little dust. |
When mine needed changing, I went with stoptech blanks (got one hell of a deal) and Nismo pads. Stay away from dealer replacements, they will charge you an arm and a leg. I've been satisfied and very little dust!
