Billstein PSS9's
Anyone have either the PSS9's or just the PSS on their Z/G? I want to purchase a set from Adam@Z1 + some other suspension goodies (front/rear spc camber kit, sway bars, arc strut bar) but I need some reviews before I can spend anything on them. :)

I'm actually ordering the PSS10's tomorrow from Adam. unfortunately that means i cant give a review yet.

I did have the car corner balanced and aligned, one thing I regret is buying the front and rear camber kits afterwards. Now I have to pay again to rebalance and realign.

i just got these coilovers yesterday from another Z owner. Probably going to install in the next 5 days. I heard pretty good reviews about the ride quality but yea, i don't see many people with them.

Just caught this discussion a little late. I posted this in the vender forum for PSS10 earlier;
I've had a set of PSS9's on my car for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. I cannot compare the ride to other brands, but I can tell you the ride is a bit stiffer than stock. It's more controlled feeling though. Drop was 1.5 all around. Limiting factor wound up being the rear spring adjusters. (If you remove these adjusters completely, a 2" drop is expected). I'm about to get into Autoxing soon. I wish I could comment on their performance at the track, but I haven't been yet. I thought about removing the rear spring adjusters but I only removed 1. Felt like there was too much movement in the spring if both were removed.

what do the helper springs do? I just finished installing my PSS10's this weekend and I'm going in for alignment tomorrow. To be honest I'm not dropped THAT much, I could definietly go another .7 or .8 lower in the front and my helper springs are almost FULLY compressed. Is that normal?

Is it me or do springs need time to "settle" anyway?
There are at least 2 people from the Mid-A rolling PSS9's on their cars. I am one and I can say that the reason I went with the PSS9's is because the other guys car handled every turn and twist and dig and dive we went through. I cant give you seat time review as I haven't driven my Z since they were installed but I am definitly waiting to check it out. |
I have heard that they need time to settle, my question is should I get another alignment after they settle?

the coilover springs will not settle...if anything, its the factory rubber mounts that recompress a bit once they are reinstalled, but that happens within 20-100 miles at most.
