The springs will settle. Wait 2-3 weeks before going in for an alignment.
I also have Stechs and they settled to around 1.1inch in front and rear. |

the s-techs are smoother? i remember i put them on my SRT-4 and i said i would never buy s-techs ever again (they were the hardest springs i've ever experienced, it felt like i was driving a radio flyer red wagon)

I was gonna say, they don't look like they've settled
|
Cool then. In for update after springs have settled.
|
I have the s-techs. The first week, the car was only by less than a half inch. Like everyone mentioned before, give it around 200-400 miles to settle in. The springs will settle and lower anywhere from .7" - 1.1". Mine lowered about .8". Coupled with the oem shocks, the ride is pretty close to stock, a tad more stiff.
|
How long soes it take a for a spring install? I just posted a thread on the general forum but i prob should have come here.
Local shop today quoted me 5 hours!!!! |

looks good after it has settled down...definitely more noticeable

It'll drop more, trust me. Mine are about 3 weeks in and its a PERFECT drop...i wouldnt go any lower if i was given free springs.
The ride is much better because progressive fronts keep the car stiff in the front (bc drop is lower in front) so you dont slam your lip into the pavement over every bump, and linear in the back to even out the ride quality and make it alot more smooth than having progressive fronts+rears. Tein did it right with this kit. It is the only kit i know of that has the progressives in the front and linear in the rear. Hotchkis is good cause lower drop in the rear BUT front and rear are linear, so the ride is WAY too soft and bouncy. I can take corners like a champ, MUCH better than stock, but not as good as coilovers, of course. I was worried when i first bought these springs cause i thought drop wouldnt be enough...but just give it time, they will settle perfectly. I would have taken springs that went any lower off and sold them if i had gotten say, the pro kit or GFs/Nfs... |
