Need pics of lowered setups with 18's
I have 18inch version 1 Rays track wheels. I am lowered on Hotchkis sportline springs. I just went from 40 series sidewalls to 35's. I now have created more wheel gap (which I hate) What do you guys running 18inch wheels recommend to take up the gap? The gap now in the rear is about 2inches.
1. Diff springs? 2. Tein Basics? Will they drop it more than Hotchkis Sportlines? Pics of setups with 18's would be great. I already know I need some new wheels, so please don't tell me to get wheels that fit. I have spent a ton of money on my engine and need to wait a while before dropping even more on wheels at the moment. I'm just trying to make the best of what I have for now. I will post pics soon. I just had the tires put on yesterday and haven't had a chance to take pics. Thanks in advance! |
I like your wheels and your setup....what's your offset if you dont' mind me asking...looks good!

Anyway...I'll give you some insight. (I still need to add pics of the car myself, now that it's lowered)
I have the Eibach Sportline springs on stock wheels (18") with 40 sidewall. With the springs completely settled now, I have NO fender gap, and it actually eats up a bit of the tire. I plan on either getting wheel spacers or new wheels so I can get the flush look. In order for me to do that, I will have to downsize my tire sidewall to at least 35. I'll try and get pics up tonight since I am at work. They will give you a good idea on what it looks like. Overall the Sportlines dropped me about 2". |
...lowered

Just buy the proper height tire, that will lessen the gap , then lower it and get spacers as you feel fit. |
Thanks for the help guys. I went from 40 sidewall to 35. Already lowered on Hotchkis Sportlines and really dont want to go any lower I guess I need to just go back to the 40's. I'll be posting in the Marketplace to sell these rear tires.
