all you suspension guru's come to aid me...
i know for sure i dont want to go with a 1inch drop...cuz im not really into the whole slammed look, just want to close the wheel gap...and im leaning towards the hotchkiss springs...0.6, 0.8. but then i came across these...never heard of them though? any comments, experiences, knowledge?

Stick to the hotchkis set.
|
for now i am, but why stick to hotch?
|
Tried and trusted mostly. Ive never heard of ST.
|
yeah....for that asking price....get the Hotchkis. moderate drop, and yes just like above, they are tested and approved. not just a knock off, Hotchkis was designed and tested for the Z.
|
Like the previous posters stated: sticking to Hotchkis would be your best bet. Trusted and tested product.

I don't think the 1" drop gives you a "slammed" look. It will definitely close the wheel gap, though.
Check out this thread for pics of different set ups: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...re-thread.html Here's my car on Eibach Pro-Kit and 19" rims: https://www.supermotors.net/getfile/...e/img_1254.jpg Oh yeah, and so I'm on topic: Suspension Techniques has been in business for a long time. I don't think I've seen any 350Z's running them, though. |

yeah but 1inch means i got to get a camber kit and w.e. else is needed...and im not willing to throw down alot of money towards suspension right now...
and yeah i been through that thread, every page, about twice...seen the hotchkis on a couple different and results seem to vary. |
u dont necessarily need a camber kit with a 1" drop. u wont get to "ideal" camber specs, but you can for sure get within acceptable factory specs without a camber kit.

/thread :) On a serious note, I didn't need to get a camber kit but I went spending crazy last year after I got my income tax return and got everything at once (springs, shocks, camber kit). Car rides as if it were on rails and it has a clean look to it! |
Hmmm...I didn't know Street Beat was making parts for the Z. I know I used to get parts through them back when i had my mini (1998 Tacoma). That being said I don't think I'd trust them to make parts for my Z. Mini trucks and sporst cars are kind of at different ends of the R&D spectrum.

they are just springs! you'll be able to keep your factory alignment
without camber/toe kits. stop overthinking this. |
