Tire Rack says 17" SSR Comp H won't fit over Brembos.
I called to confirm and I was told the 17 inch SSR Comp H will not fit over the track model Brembos. How can this be? I understood the new Comp H was built wider than the old SSR Competition, so it should be able to accommodate the brakes. Does't that TC fellow use 17 inch SSR Competitions on his white track model?

If you are referring to T.C. Kline's T2 SCCA race car, he was using 18" wheels and tires throughout last season... |

The 17" Japanese SSR Type-C's will fit over the Brembos

Ok guys, thanks for the replies. Just want to be sure before shelling out the big bucks.

We had a similar problem trying to get the US-spec SSR Type Cs over our Evo Brembos. Better to just get the Type Cs from Japan that do fit without spacers.

I believe TC & Hal used spacers on the front when they used the 17" SSR's. TC ran the 17" early then ran 18" on the second car.

Daytona & jmark, thank you! This is why I love this board. A great way to get in touch with people who know.
