Tacky to paint calipers??
My Z is black and i have black forgestar 19in and i wanted the all black look but i wanted to throw a bit of contrast in the mix. I have the red tails of course so i thought maybe painting the calipers red would do the trick. I dont have the brembo but i thought maybe it would look ok. Was just wondering if anyone had seen this in person and how it looked.

There are more than enough threads on this topic if you search for "painted calipers"
There is even a DIY:

Someone with red calipers who got flamed:
https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...ers-d-red.html
I don't like painted calipers in any colors other than black or silver

Wasnt that I was wanting them to stand out but good point....with the forgestar wheels when they are clean and cause of the spokes I just hate looking through the wheels and seeing all the dull silver.

+1 on that ^ painting them isn't bad. It's really up to your tastes. Just don't do covers...ever.
Good option would be to check out Z1's oem non-brembo brake upgrade package (if you need pads and rotors anytime soon). Then you can do that full swap and paint the calipers all in one go since they'll be off anyway. Then you'll actually justify taking the calipers all the way off vs. just for paint.

Just my 02 cents, but why not get them powdercoated?
I had the brembo's on my 2010 Camaro done. ZL1 blue with a clear coat.
I wouldn't say tacky, either. The Corvettes, Porsches and other cars have red calipers and no one says anything about that.
