I just upgraded to oem brembos. But I'm hearing an initial knock sound when I brake. This seems to come from a different wheel each time. It sounds as if the brake pads are popping against the rotor. Usually the first brake I can hear it. I'm going to bleed the calipers this weekend and I feel some play in the pedal. I could be paranoid but the car seems to run differently not sure how, but just the feel. I did a rebuild on the seals and boots, could is have done something wrong? Thanks

Could be pads shifting. Could be that you didn't tighten something down. If you haven't figured it out by the meet then we can check it out.

You nailed it. I went and lubed up all the pins, when I got to the rears the inner pad had a lot of play. Fronts were snugged. I also used a motive bleeder today, but I still have a soft pedal. I'm going to try to trouble shoot some more this weekend and bleed again. I do have Napa ultra pre pads, could that be an issue? If I can't figure this out, the meet can't get here soon enough. I appreciate the help. Thanks
