Air coming out of bleeder valve after closed (brake flush)
Hey guys,
I just installed SS brake lines on my '03 non-brembo 350z. Obviously it requires me to bleed the brakes to get the air out. I followed the '03 FSM for bleeding brakes. Bleeding was no problem but, the pass. rear and driver front has air seeping out of the bleeder valve once I closed it.
I used about 2 bottles of fluid to flush, but still having that issue. I pumped the brakes (while engine off) and the pedal was stiff after 3 pumps. However when I drove the car, the pedal turned out to be slightly squishy (still able to stop when I need to) but I thought the pedal would be stiff with the SS brake lines.
Anyone have/had this issue? Any solutions?
Thanks

By air, I assume you mean fluid.
Often the nipples will weep after install making it look like a leak.
If not, then either they arent closed tight enough, or they are stripped and wont get tight enough. Clean the area with some brake cleaner and cycle the pedal and re-check to make sure they are actually leaking.
Dont expect wonders from the SS lines, they definitely wont change much.

hi so after rebuilding used brembos and installing and bleeding myself...
it's either:
A. You still have air in your system, I would invest in a motive power bleeder...but it's possible without...just make sure to have another person help and tap the calipers to get air bubbles out. I did not have much success trying three times with someone helping me. Bought a motive power bleeder and worked perfectly first try.
