Default 2007 350z returability issue

Hi I need a little help! I took my car to a mechanic they because I had a click when turning my car. The mechanic said I needed new axle shafts he also said I needed a rack and pinion after doing the work. I got the car back and my steering returability was gone. I took it back we thought it was the rack and pinion but it was not. Then he told me I needed new bushings sway bars control arms and problem will be solved. So I was pissed but did it. Today he contacted me and the issue is still there. I I basically have a whole new suspension what could the issue be? Thank you Justin

Oy..... the "throw parts at it and see what sticks" repair methodology....

Hard to say what it is without putting hands on it but one thing for certain, I'd suggest a new tech/shop....

It was under the passenger side wheel. When I turned
That was fixed but still have after that and the rack and pinion was done. I got the car back with no returnability. Since then bushings rods sway bars ball joints all replaced 3k in and same issue.

I'm sorry. Im using my phone to do this and suck it. The clunk was on my passenger side. The tech told me axle shafts and rack and pinion need to be replaced. When I got the car back I had no returnability. I told him to fix it he redid everything 3 times tried another rack and pinion. The same issue got a Nissan tech at the shop. Told him bushings arms ball joints and sway bars need to be done problem solved. He did that same issue no returnability. I'm not so deep in that I'm pissed that I even went there. But need him to fix the issue now. Because I'm in too deep 3k for suspension and work. But came out worse then it went in.

He is a good guy trying his best at Nissan now. But I need this nightmare over. So just figured I would see if anyone ran into this.

Front or rear? If rear, grease the axle splines

Well, unless you have the ONLY front wheel drive 350Z in the world, then I can pretty much guarantee you that your axles aren't the problem, since those are located in the rear.

If you're getting a clicking noise from the rear of the car, then you need to pull the rear axles and grease the splines. See the many posts and the TSB on that issue.

Regarding your steering returnability issue, maybe you can get a little guidance you hadn't considered yet from HERE.

Regardless of what you do, I'd strongly recommend you listen to what Mic said and find a new mechanic; preferably one who won't throw another $3K worth of parts you don't need at the issue.

Default Update

So car drives fine now after 3k it ended up the power steering pump. So fml spent way too much money. Lesson learned. I have a whole new front end suspension idk what that would have cost me else where. So I don't really know if I walked out with a good deal or not. But life moves on thank u for replying everyone! Justin
