Looks like a blown sway bar end link to me.

BluestreamDE 11-05-2017 12:09 PM

Sway bar link, like CK said^

:icon22: really

I was going to say end link also but its too close to the diff. and not beefy enough. and with end links they should have 2 ball joints at both ends but unless the ball joint blew out. I don't remember my end links being that close to the diff...or maybe it is the end link.

i guess crawling under the car and looking makes too much sense to the OP

It's an end link.

I literally just replace my friends blown front 2 last weekend.

But like Trav said all he has to do is get under and see wtf it's connected to.

i'm pretty sure (90%)this is the link that goes to the auto levelling sensor for your headlights

second thought i think you are right. OP try checking your headlights to see if they are level and adjust that rear hanging piece back to adjust the headlights.

Thread moved to the appropriate section.

To the OP, find a schematic online of the Z's suspension parts and then crawl under the car to get acquainted with the car. I would also suggest browsing some vendor sites to see that they have to offer for replacement parts. At that point, you'll confirm what you've learned while conducting your examination of the Z.

The US cars don't have that feature.
